Oh no, oh no. Sitting down with the list of my course literature and just discovered that 50% of it is Immanuel Kant and Thomas Hobbes. Please, don't do this to me. Don't make me read scary, german and british philosophers who are about 300 years old. Anything else will do but not this. Did anyone understand them even in 1600-th century?
Ok, get rid of these bad thoughts. You will have to read them and there's nothing you can do about it, but facing it. Face it now. I open Leviathan.
Of Man
Chap. 1.
Of Sense.
Concerning the Thoughts of man, I will consider them first Singly, and afterwards in Trayne, or dependance upon one another. Singly, they are everyone a Representation or Appearance, of some quality, or other Accident of a body without us; which is commonly called an Object.
Really? That's most interesting. And can you now translate it for me?

Haha! That couldn't be more true. If only they'd rewrite the damn books and let us read the arguments without the verbose language.
